We’re about four months into our tour season, but before it comes to a close, we celebrate the time of year that brings people out in droves looking for a fright. That’s right, the fall season is almost upon us, and with the falling leaves and the crisp autumn air coming, we look forward to seeing the crowds come in to experience the meeting of hauntings and history.
Each of our three tours will take our guests on a 1.75 to 2.75 mile tour of city, stopping at thirteen different spectral hot spots. Our tours are a little bit different than the others, as we’re not looking only to spook you; we want you to know the history behind each of the stories. Don’t get us wrong, however, we will certainly try our best to give you a good scare, as well.
At Haunted Manhattan, we pride ourselves on having charismatic tour guides who are all well-versed in the areas in which they’re guiding. Professor Mortimer handles our Greenwich Village tour, Frankie the Bartender guides the East Village tour, and the Concierge will walk you through the streets of the West Village. Each of these guides throws a little something special into the tour to keep their subjects entertained between haunted locations.
Don’t let the unpredictable autumn weather deter you from joining us for a tour, we operate in the rain, the wind, and on the chilly fall evenings. Be sure to dress weather appropriate, as all of our tours include a fair amount of walking, and take place outside. We want you to enjoy yourselves as much as possible as you find out about Manhattan’s most haunting secrets.
Of course our tours are open to the whole family, but please use your discretion before bringing small children. You know them better than we do, so you know what they’re able to handle. Most of our tours can be slightly edited depending on the size of the group, but our West Village Tour is the one that most people consider to be family-friendly!
You don’t want to miss one of our tours this holiday season, so grab a hoodie and your sneakers, and join us on one, or all, of our tours!
